Don't expect freedom from proprietaty subsidiaries
Systems of dependency are misleading people all the time
duckduck go of course works for google, and feeds people it's manipulative results(non consentual ai search results), the default setting on free gnulinux distro's attempting to balance a useability, with privacy
we have to escape to freedom!
we should be discussing the ways in which people can escape these extremely abusive web services, by fostering independence, which would meaningfully secure their lives, and their literal freedom
